My name is Adam Traister, and I would love to help you plan your next magical vacation! I am a passionate travel enthusiast, themed entertainment connoisseur, foodie, musician, and film buff. I also love to plan vacations, which is why I became a travel advisor. I live with my lovely wife, Lindsey, and our dog, Nymeria, in the picturesque Scottsdale, Arizona – if you have never been, it is certainly worth a visit!

Growing up, my family enjoyed vacationing all around the country with frequent visits to New York City, Las Vegas, and of course, Orlando, the home of the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. Southern California was only a half day’s drive away from us in Scottsdale, so trips to Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood were also a regular occurrence. As I broadened my taste for new cultural experiences, food, entertainment, and recreational activities, I explored more of the US and several other countries. I even uprooted myself from Scottsdale, moving to Boston, Savannah, and Los Angeles before heading back home nearly a decade later.

I now have years of firsthand experience traveling around the world and have made travel research one of my regular hobbies. I love to uncover the nuances within each destination. There is always so much more than meets the eye, even at places like Walt Disney World and Disneyland; with new attractions, entertainment, hotels, restaurants, shops, and activities opening every year. I thrive on spreading this knowledge to others.

As a travel advisor specializing in themed experiences, I have a unique background which I believe sets me apart from others in my field. I was fortunate to complete a small part of my master’s degree in sound design at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando. Through field study and lectures led by Disney Imagineers and the Universal Creative team, I gained insight into the behind-the-scenes magic – not just the sound design, but music, animation, production design, visual effects, culinary arts, storytelling and more – at these world-renowned themed destinations. Fun fact: this led me to work on a temporary themed attraction in Savannah, Georgia, as the sound supervisor and music composer. As a creative person, I have a deep appreciation for the artistry involved in bringing so many iconic stories to life at Disney and Universal’s parks and resorts. It is perhaps the main reason why I love themed entertainment so much; it combines all my passions! 

I have experience and expertise that cater to many styles of vacationing. This could be traversing a new country or exploring a new city, taking in all the sites and culture they have to offer; a relaxing tropical getaway, cruise, or even a luxurious stay at a bougie hotel with fine dining and a full-service spa; an adrenaline-fueled adventure or a spiritual awakening in nature; and of course, a thematic experience that transports you to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or “a galaxy far far away.” I enjoy designing unique itineraries that satisfy my clients’ specific interests and needs wherever they are vacationing and understand that not everyone wants the same experience. I will take the time to get to know you and what you are looking for, so that I can recommend the best hotels, cruises, tours, dining, entertainment, and attractions to make your vacation perfect… And I can probably save you money at the same time!

The most important part of my job as a travel advisor is making sure that you have an exceptional and stress-free experience; before, during, and after your vacation. I am hardworking, detail oriented, accommodating, and here to ensure that all you need to focus on is having fun with your family and friends.
