Hiya, Pals! I’m Darcy, and my love for Disney runs deep. My journey began in 1996 during the 25th-anniversary celebration, and I’ll admit, I couldn’t resist the allure of the cake castle. Since then, I’ve made countless trips to Disney World, both as a kid and as an adult. Luckily, I’ve found a fiancé who shares my Disney addiction, and together, we make it a mission to explore something new with each visit.
Hailing from Kansas, I was raised on a sprawling cattle farm where I learned to ride horses before I could walk. This early exposure to travel planning laid the foundation for my future endeavors. By the time I was old enough to drive, my airline and hotel point statuses were already soaring. Living out of a suitcase became second nature as I competed in equestrian events across the country and embarked on adventures worldwide.
At just 16, I ventured into entrepreneurship as a self-taught graphic designer, securing contracts with various magazines and companies. My passion for marketing and social media led me to pursue further education at Kansas State University. Although I’ve worked in diverse fields, the challenges of 2020 clarified my true calling.
Navigating the complexities of planning a Disney trip during the pandemic ignited a newfound passion for research. Today, I start my mornings with travel YouTube videos, immerse myself in travel Facebook groups, and scour travel website for updates. I’m always on the lookout for the latest information, whether it’s checking wait times on the My Disney Experience app or researching the newest cruise ships ready to set sail.
I’m confident in my abilities to plan a perfect itinerary for every kind of vacationer, but my expertise truly shines in luxury travels. Deluxe resorts, amazing dining spots, VIP experiences, and luxury add-ons are all aspects I’ve experienced and planned for others.
