Donna is an award-winning art director and travel enthusiast turned travel planner. A life-long Jersey girl, Donna has been married for over 25 years and is the proud mom of two children. As an avid Disney Travel fan, she’s excited to share her knowledge and experience to help others create magical, memorable vacations
A DVC member since 2001, Donna has extensive first-hand experience of the many facets that comprise a Walt Disney World vacation. Donna has had the pleasure of staying at every Disney resort on property, as well as several of the area’s luxury Good Neighbor hotels.
Donna has visited Disney World at all times of the year. She has attended every festival, and many of the Special Ticketed events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Villains After Dark, and experiences several Enchanting Extra VIP Experiences such as Animal Kingdom’s Savor the Savannah Tour and even a Private VIP Tour (a real highlight). As a family of Disney Foodies, she’s also dined at many of the restaurants in Disney World and even makes many of their favorite recipes at home. (Check out her YouTube channel for more on that).

Donna's Disney Story
Then
Neither my husband nor I had ever gone to Disney as children. Our first trip was when our son was 4 and daughter had just turned 2. Everyone said they were too young to go, especially my daughter—but they could not have been more wrong!
There was so much to see and do that we barely scratched the surface. Plus, the kids could not stop talking about it. We had such a great time that we went back 6 months later. That was in 1999 and started a tradition of going to Disney World at least twice a year every year since.
Over the years, we have stayed both on and off property, and at Universal Studios resorts. We stayed in nearly all the Disney deluxe resorts as well as several of the moderate resorts. In 2001, we decided to join Disney Vacation Club (DVC) which has been perfect for our family. DVC has allowed us to visit Disney’s Hawaiian resort, Aulani, a few times and take a couple of Disney cruises. We have ventured to a number of other (usually warm) destinations like Arizona and Aruba. Somehow, we always come back to Disney World.
Now
As our children have grown, our vacation styles have evolved too, but they still love going to Disney. Now, it is more about dining at our favorite restaurants as opposed to which character autographs they need to get. Regardless of where we go, each trip allows us to have quality family time together that we just can’t seem to get at home. Besides making new memories, it allows us to reconnect as a family.
It’s been 20 years since that first Disney vacation. Maybe my kids were too young to remember it, but it’s a trip I will never forget!
